Mogadishu, Somalia – The newly appointed Minister of Family Affairs and Human Rights, Amb. Khadija Mohamed Al-Makhzoumi, was officially welcomed today at the Ministry’s headquarters, where she held an introductory meeting with the Ministry’s leadership team.
The meeting was attended by the State Minister for Family Affairs and Human Rights, Hon. Mohamed Osman Nastaro, and Deputy Minister, Hon. Xanaan Abdiaziz Barre. The Director General of the Ministry, Mohamed Bashir Omar, provided an overview of the Ministry’s ongoing projects, key responsibilities, and future objectives.
Also in attendance were department directors and key advisors from the Ministry. This marked Minister Al-Makhzoumi’s first official meeting with the leadership team, where she emphasized the importance of teamwork and urged the Ministry’s staff to double their efforts in advancing the Ministry’s mission.
In her closing remarks, Minister Al-Makhzoumi encouraged all Ministry officials to remain committed to their responsibilities, reaffirming her dedication to strengthening the Ministry’s initiatives for the betterment of Somali families and human rights.
