Mogadishu, Somalia – The Minister of Family Affairs and Human Rights of the Federal Government of Somalia, Amb. Khadija Mohamed Al-Makhzoumi, hosted a delegation from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) at her office today. The delegation was led by UNFPA’s Acting Representative, Dr. Mary Otieno.
The meeting, attended by the Director General of the Ministry, Mohamed Bashir Omar, and senior ministry experts, focused on enhancing the partnership between the Ministry and UNFPA, particularly in key areas related to family welfare, human rights, and social development.
Minister Al-Makhzoumi welcomed the ongoing collaboration between the Ministry and UNFPA, acknowledging the significant contributions the organization has made. She encouraged further strengthening of the partnership to expand efforts and achieve greater impact in addressing critical social issues in Somalia.
